Electronic logging device used to record drivers' hours of service.
An ELD connects to the truck's engine and automatically records driving time. Most drivers who must keep records of duty status are required to use a registered ELD.
FMCSA keeps a list of registered devices and revokes devices that do not meet the technical standard.
