What is BASIC?
One of seven Behavior Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories in CSA.
The seven BASICs are Unsafe Driving, Crash Indicator, Hours-of-Service Compliance, Vehicle Maintenance, Controlled Substances/Alcohol, Hazardous Materials Compliance and Driver Fitness.
Each BASIC is scored as a percentile against similar carriers, where a higher percentile means worse performance.
