What is Medical examiner's certificate?
The medical card showing a driver passed a DOT physical.
The certificate is issued by a medical examiner listed on FMCSA's National Registry after a DOT physical. It is valid for up to 24 months, or less if a condition needs monitoring.
Employers keep a copy in the driver qualification file and must replace it before it expires.
