Want the rules in detail? Read the [MCS-150 update guide](/mcs-150-update).

Your USDOT number

Enter your number to see your deadline. Nothing is sent anywhere until you open your full check.

## MCS-150 due date questions

### How is the MCS-150 due date set?

By your USDOT number. The last digit gives the month (1 = January through 9 = September, 0 = October). The next-to-last digit gives the year: odd digit, odd years; even digit, even years. It is due by the end of that month every 24 months.

### What if my DOT number has one digit?

Treat the next-to-last digit as 0, which is even, so you file in even-numbered years.

### Can I file early?

Yes. You can file an MCS-150 update any time, and you must file one whenever your company information changes.
